Definition: Conformity is the act of matching your attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours to group norms, social standards, or authority. It involves altering your actions to fit in, gain acceptance, or adhere to established rules and expectations.
A successful engineer must be creative. An engineer that conforms to norms cannot be creative. Therefore, a conforming engineer cannot be a successful engineer.
